Experience: 10+ years of tutoring/teaching

Hi! My name is Maya and I am a fourth year medical student and masters of public health student at the University of Miami taking a year off to conduct research in Oncology! I have been tutoring for over 10 years now throughout high-school, college, and medical school, and have a particular passion for teaching the Humanities (English, Reading, Writing, Social Sciences) and more! Throughout my time in college I served as a teacher at a local Sunday School, teaching 1st-3rd graders STEM (Science, Technology, English, and Math) in a fun and engaging manner! As well, I served as a tutor at college and as an application assistant for for K-12 and College. I have scored in the 90th percentile for my SAT, ACT, and MCAT exams. I am passionate about teaching the next generation and providing students with the tools for success! Every child has their own learning journey and I feel strongly about catering my teaching for each student. I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals!
